Senior BIM Advisor at Mace

I am Senior Advisor on Building Information Modelling (BIM) at Mace in London where I develop and implement digital construction strategies for international clients.

I completed a PhD at Politecnico di Milano on ways of managing and controlling public works through innovative digital approaches. As part of my research, I collaborated with two advanced BIM-aware public clients: the Massachusetts Port Authority (USA) and the UK Ministry of Justice.

In 2017 the Italian Engineer Association assigned me the 'Woman Ingenious' award and in 2019 I have been nominated finalist for Women in Construction and Engineering Awards as Best Woman in Digital Innovation and I received the Star Award for Innovation and Service Excellence by Mace.

I am glad to be a member of BIM Excellence Initiative as Assistant Editor of the BIM Dictionary where I coordinate more than 100international volunteers, member of the Italian Organization for Standardization (UNI) CT 033/GL 05 and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) TC442 working groups on Building Information Modelling, UK BIM Alliance and Founder of Italians in Digital Transformations UK (IDTUK). I am currently the leader of the Task Group on LOD at the European Committee for Standardisation CEN TC 442 WG2 coordinating experts from 15 countries.

I have worked as BIM researcher at VTT (Finland), ITC-CNR (Italy) and I have also worked with designers, contractors and public authorities on implementing BIM-based processes. I have presented my work at both national and international fora in 18 countries including BIMForum in USA, WBC16 in Finland, BuildingSMART in France, MIBA in Hungary, BIMLUX in Luxembourg, Digital Construction Brussels in Belgium, ICEBIM in the UK, BIMAarhus in Denmark, BIM and Digital Construction in Greece and BIMtecnia and EU BIM Summit in Spain. In the past, I have been a member of the International Scientific Programme Committee for the CIB World Building Congress 2016, the BIM Roundtable at AIA BSA Foundation and mentor at BILT Academy.
